Should Australia change its flag?
Australia’s flag has been around for over one hundred years and it has served us well, but some people believe it should be changed. People say that nobody likes it and it has lost all its potential and that the Union Jack doesn’t represent us well. Other people say to just leave it alone, that it has served us for a hundred years and it represents us well.
There are many arguments that are for and against
And there is a debate in a the town of likard that makes this A big debate and some people are extremely passionate for the flag.
The Australian flag should be changed because
It has lost all its potential. half the population doesn’t like it as former wallabies player peter Fitzsimons says. The union jack doesn’t represent us well because
We want to be our own country and become a republic
Not to be under Britain’s rule because Britain brought allot
Bad stuff to this country that has kind of shaped Australia
Today.
That in some cases the flag makes us look bad, for example the Cronulla Beach riots the Indian stabbings and taxi bashings are all over the news worldwide and that does make us look bad.
If we want to become a republic we will most likely need to change our flag.
The flag doesn’t Show respect to the aboriginal and Torres Strait Island people
It basically represents the day there land was taken from them. The flag that now was chosen for us we didn’t vote for it or anything it was chosen for us in a completion in 1902 by a magazine company and it was sponsored by a tobacco company and the panel chose that flag for us.
People say the Anzacs fought in World War 1 and 2 for the flag. They did, but they also fought for freedom for the right to have an opinion.
The Australian flag should not be changed because we have had it for over one hundred years and it should be kept that
Way.
It should stay that way because Britain colonised Australia and we should respect that .What are we going to change it to before we change it. The Southern Cross does represent aboriginal dream time stories.
The Anzacs fought under the current flag and it
Would be a disrespect to change the flag. If we change it people will want to change it back and this debate will continue for ages.
There are many arguments to this discussion. A lot of people want to change others don’t. It seems the union jack shouldn’t be in it and there should be respect for aboriginals.
So if we change our flag we’ve got to know had to change it
Allot of Australians don’t like allot do. In conclusion our flag

On Christmas Eve we watch a Christmas movie
And eat a special Christmas dinner (roast lamb and cold ham and turkey with roast potatoes).
And then in the morning I usually get up first
And wake up my family (they don’t like that)
But they love the presents and then my grandma comes for lunch same as for dinner but we have a trifle. on boxing day I go to the cricket come on aussie come on come on or go shopping with the family and since. I got a wii I got allot of wii games like Mario kart ,big beach sports, wii play .I want the game cricket also I get allot of Lego so I build it.
I always buy the family presents and on Christmas we play backyard cricket on the Boxing Day test I go with my dad’s friend Leigh I’m going to watch the Windies take on Australia at the boxing day test I hope that I’m going to be seen on TV again.

on Friday was the house swimming it happens every year at geelong colleage pool
mitchell (yellow) came forth sturt (red) came third flinders (green my team)came second and bass (blue) came first i was in 25 metre freestyle backstroke and breathstroke i got third in one heat second in another and d.q in another i had a good day and it great fun

all the men and women who died in wars such as world war1 and 2
the vieatnam war and the korean war there was a famous poem called flanders field published in 1915

today we had doughnut fractions the main fractions were 3/4

2/3 it was really hard until mr.kennedy explained it first we practised with (we didn’t eat the paper of course) but then we did the doughnuts when it i whent zero to three to 2/3 i laughed at that spencer told me to sit at the zero table it was tasty and enjoyable

yestarday was the melbourne cup for you who don’t know what the melbourne cup is it is a 3.2 kilometer race of horses it is one of the biggest races of australian time in first place was shocking second was crime scene in third mirilian my horse cam eighth and my faviroute came 21st i was not happy
